Macaw is already used by over 700 iOS apps. Macaw is the most well-received open-source Swift project from any Russian company, based on Github data.
Today’s mobile apps have UIs with tons of custom graphic elements and animations, ranging from subtle gradients to stock market charts. Turning these designs into fully functional elements takes up a lot of time and effort for developers, especially when scaling for different screen sizes and resolutions.
This was the problem we encountered early in our iOS development. To simplify these tasks we decided to create Macaw - an open source graphics library that lets developers define complex user interfaces as intuitive scene objects and even directly render SVG graphics with events and animations.
